Community Input - POWERful Choices! Committee
If you have ideas of how we can move River Falls towards a more sustainable future, you’re welcome to attend. The demand for energy continues to grow in Wisconsin and our nation. To protect our environment and quality of life, energy efficiency, and environmental stewardship must receive increasing importance. A confluence of events in River Falls offers a unique opportunity to showcase the outstanding efforts of its community leaders and residents.
Leading by Example Initiative
During the spring of 2007, the City of River Falls City Council and Utility Commission approved the support of a "Leading by Example” initiative as presented by our power supplier, WPPI Energy. This initiative is a community-wide effort to install a strong local conservation ethic while demonstrating the effectiveness of energy efficiency, conservation, and renewable resource development.
During the fall of 2018, a comprehensive review of the initiative’s first 10 years was compiled. View the 10-Year Comprehensive Review (PDF).
