Shelters

Glen Park and Hoffman Park have shelter buildings that can be reserved online at riverfalls.activityreg.com beginning at 8 a.m. each Jan. 1 for the current calendar year. Shelter reservation requests that arrive via phone call, voice mail, or email will be processed on the first business day after the New Year.

You may request a shelter reservation at riverfalls.activityreg.com or email cdanke@rfcity.org or brundle@rfcity.org, or call 715-425-0924. 

If there are no reservations, the open air shelters are available for free on a first come, first served basis. A reservation calendar is hung at each shelter.

A fee and/or damage charge will be invoiced if damage or breakage occurs, or if the shelter is not left in a clean and rentable condition.

Glassware is not allowed in the parks. Only blue painter’s tape may be used to adhere decorations to shelter walls. Please, no glitter or confetti. Renters and their guests must follow all park rules.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made at least two weeks prior to the reservation date to receive a refund (minus the cancellation fee of $5 for open shelter or $40 for enclosed shelter). A refund (minus cancellation fee) for a cancellation made within two weeks of the reservation date is contingent upon the shelter being reserved by someone else. Contact the Parks & Rec office to cancel a reservation and request a refund.

Residency

A City Resident is any person who lives within the corporate city limits of River Falls and pays property taxes to the City. (Non-residents do not pay property taxes to the City to help fund parks and shelters.)

Severe Weather Emergency

In case of severe weather emergency, the general public must be allowed to enter a storm shelter even when it is reserved by a private party.

Alcohol Policies

Alcohol is allowed in Glen Park and Hoffman Park. If your gathering is having a keg or another large container, please complete a keg form and return it to the Parks and Recreation Department. A $50 deposit will be required. Glassware is prohibited.

Softball Fields & Volleyball Courts

There is no fee to reserve a field or court. If lights are needed, there is a $10 per hour charge. If there are no reservations, fields/courts are available on a first come, first serve basis. Fields and courts may be reserved by calling Cindi at 715-426-3420.
