Special Assessment Searches

Requests for special assessment searches must be in writing and have the consent of the account holder unless the requestor is exempted as by 2013 Wisconsin Act 47.

The City of River Falls and River Falls Municipal Utilities each conduct searches of their own records. Searches can be done with one or the other or with both entities. When making your request, complete the form below and specify the type of special assessment search you would like: City of River Falls search, River Falls Municipal Utility search, or both.

Requests will be processed based upon closing date. Due to the large volume of requests, please submit your request as soon as possible allowing at least five days for processing.

Fees

$45 for City and Utility search
 One search per request (one owner-one parcel)

Search includes money owed to the City for:

1. Special Assessments
2. Accounts Receivable
3. Utility Balances
4. Any other amounts known for the property that the City would bill for

Fee Exceptions
Utility search only: $20
 City search only: $25

One owner with two contiguous properties on same search request: $45
 Multiple contiguous land only parcels with same owner same request: $45
