The River Falls Fire Department (RFFD) was surveyed by a national organization for its structure fire suppression capabilities. The Insurance Services Office (ISO) analyzed RFFD data according to its Fire Suppression Rating Schedule and measured the information according to its Public Protection Classification (PPC) program. A number is assigned to the RFFD for each of the measured areas, including how the RFFD receives and handles fire alarms; RFFD equipment, training, and personnel; and a review of the water supply system. The criteria and standards for this survey were developed by the National Fire Protection Association and the American Water Works Association.
