Additional streets planned are on the Southeast side of the City from Cascade Court south to Cemetery Road and West which includes Bartosh Lane and the River Hills First Addition Development. Work is scheduled for Monday, June 24, through Wednesday, June 26. Crews are expected to begin work at 6 a.m. and finish in the evening.
What's chip sealing?
A chip seal consists of a layer of crushed stone placed on top of an application of liquid asphalt to reduce deterioration of the road surface. Loose stones will be on the streets temporarily during the initial cure of the asphalt. Once the chip seal has cured, crews will sweep the streets to clear away loose stones.
During chip sealing operations, streets will be open to through traffic, but motorists may encounter lane closures controlled by flaggers. Drivers are urged to take extra caution, drive slowly, and allow additional space between vehicles to prevent damage from any loose stone chips.
Please note that the dates are dependent on weather conditions and subject to change.
