Calling all artists!
The City of River Falls, Wisconsin is accepting proposals from artists or teams of artists who would like to be considered for a free-standing exterior art installation at the City’s historic 41-acre Glen Park, located at 355 West Park Street.
Established in 1898, Glen Park offers nature trails, playground equipment, ball fields, and a swimming pool, which was constructed by the Works Progress Administration program in the 1930s. With a rich history and modern amenities, Glen Park draws crowds from River Falls and the surrounding areas. Glen Park can be reached on foot or bicycle from the city's downtown district via the historic Swinging Bridge, which sits over the south fork of the Kinnickinnic River.
The selected artist(s) will design, fabricate, and install the artwork within Glen Park. The artwork should be made of durable materials suitable for outside elements and change in temperature and as impervious to vandalism as possible. The artwork shall require little or no maintenance.
