The City's assessor, Accurate Appraisal, will be sending residents information about Open Book in early June. At Open Book, property owners have the opportunity to discuss the value of their property with the assessor. Open Book is a conference, either face-to-face or over the phone, and typically lasts about 15 minutes. Property owners should share a recent appraisal, evidence of value, and any recent sales. The assessor will share their sales analysis and explain how they came to the new value.
Property owners have until 48 hours before Board of Review to contact the assessor about a new value. Residents should contact the assessor directly for an appointment.
