OPENING OF PROPOSALS: Notice is hereby given that bids will be received online through QuestCDN.com until 2:00 PM CST on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read by representatives of the City of River Falls, Wisconsin, at City Hall, 222 Lewis Street, River Falls, Wisconsin, 54022 for furnishing all work and materials for the North Interceptor Kinnickinnic River Lift Station Elimination.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The North Interceptor Kinnickinnic River Lift Station Elimination Project shall consist of the major work items in the following approximate quantities comprised of one base bid and two bid alternatives:
3.1 AC Clearing 6,000 CY Backfill Granular
2.5 AC Grubbing 3,500 CY Base Aggregate
4,100 LF 21” Sanitary Sewer 1,200 TN Bituminous
18 EA Sanitary Manhole 13,500 LF Silt Fence
2,500 CY Pond Sediment Disposal 6,200 CY Salvage Topsoil
7,400 CY Common Excavation 6,800 SY Revegetative Mat
2,500 CY Rock Excavation 7.5 AC Seeding
COMPLETETION OF WORK: Work shall be substantially completed by November 1, 2022, final completion shall be November 15, 2022.
BID SUBMITTAL: Bids must be submitted online no later than the date and time prescribed, in accordance with the Contract Documents, Plans, and Specifications as prepared by TKDA, 444 Cedar Street, Suite 1500, Saint Paul, MN 55101, which are on file for inspection in the office of Crystal Raleigh, City Engineer and Amy White, City Clerk. For this project, the City will only be accepting online electronic bids through QuestCDN. No bid will be considered unless filed electronically through QuestCDN prior to the time noted above for the closing of the bids, and accompanied by a certified check, cash, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guarantee that the bidder, if successful, will enter into a contract with the City to perform the work described in the proposal. This deposit will be subject to forfeiture as provided by law. The deposits for the three lowest bidders will be retained by the City until the contract has been awarded and executed but not longer than sixty (60) days. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days following the bid opening.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, in the best interest of the City.
