On June 10, 1919, Wisconsin became the first state to vote in favor of ratifying the 19th amendment, granting women the right to vote in national elections. On June 19, join us for a presentation on this historic event by Betty Bergland, UWRF Emerita Professor of History. There will be tea and cookies beginning at 6:30 p.m.; presentation starts at 7 p.m.. Festive clothing and/or hats are encouraged. All are welcome at the event.
